I started writing this composition at the end of 2021 and finished it in 2022. In that same year, I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Music, and before leaving for Cologne, my friends and I recorded the composition "Dance Dance Dance". The piece is inspired by Haruki Murakami's novel of the same name, where dancing serves as a metaphor for the search for meaning and finding joy and fulfillment in life. The title "Dance Dance Dance" also symbolizes movement and the pursuit of purpose in life. The protagonist of the book struggles with their identity and purpose, feeling stuck in a state of stasis. The act of dancing represents kinetic energy and being fully alive.
